CPA Tax Manager - West Palm Beach, FL (Onsite)
Established, multi-office CPA firm seeks a hands-on Tax Manager to lead daily tax operations and supervise a small team. This is a highly visible role requiring strong technical expertise, leadership, and a self-directed work style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and review tax compliance for:
- Corporations, partnerships, and individuals
- Trusts and estates
- Oversee and mentor:
- 2 Bookkeepers
- 1 Staff Tax Accountant (potentially evolving team structure)
- Perform hands-on tax preparation and review
- Provide tax planning strategies for clients
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulations
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key advisor
- Work independently with minimal oversight in a collaborative, no-blame culture
Qualifications:
- CPA required
- 5-8+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and planning
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Ability to work in-office daily (no remote/hybrid)
Compensation & Schedule:
- Salary: $125,000 - $140,000
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (onsite)
